Whole Foods For The Whole Family with The Body Group

With chronic disease moving into more people’s lives, more people are taking back personal power and realising that we truly are what we eat.  The rise of the ancestral diet, or Paleo is rooted in research conducted early in the 21st century by Western A Price and has informed a generation of Functional Medicine Practitioners on the benefits of eating as our ancestors did. Whole food, where the food itself is the only ingredient.  For many adults, this transition away from processed foods is difficult, but even more confusing when new parents are asked to wean their baby not on rice and grains, but on eggs and organ meats.

Find out how to build a super-kid on a nutrient dense diet with Caroline now.

Discover how Chi Nei Tsang Can Help Improve Your Gut Health with The Body Group

Chi Nei Tsang is an abdominal detox massage that literally means “working the energy of the internal organs,”  and is a highly effective form of therapeutic bodywork.

Dani will discuss how Chi Nei Tsang gets to the root of pain and stress by releasing tension and blocked energy in the abdomen, while promoting greater energy flow to the entire body. In this way it promotes the healing of many conditions, including digestive problems, emotional blocks, postural problems and muscle tension. It is used to treat chronic pain in the back, neck and shoulders as well as problems related to the misalignment of the feet, legs and pelvis.

Matchali x AbsFocus at The Upper House

Head to The Lawn at the Upper House for a Matcha pre-workout booster followed by an uplifting 50min Pilates-inspired class that focuses on the abs, taught by lululemon Hong Kong Ambassador Janice Ng (@janybeans)

The routine is specially targeted to sculpt the core muscles, enhance core strength and build endurance. Intensity builds with dynamic routines set to upbeat music.

Matcha Benefits

Matcha can assist your workouts by increasing your endurance, metabolism, and reducing visceral fat (fat located in your abdominal area)

Drinking one serving of matcha can boost energy and endurance. For optimal effects it’s recommended that you drink a cup everyday, especially before your workout sessions. You will eventually see your muscle tone improve as well as an increase in your body’s ability to burn fat within just a couple of months.

Matcha naturally increases your body’s energy and heat production during cardio and resistance training. This tells your body to burn more calories and eventually lead to weight loss.

Details

Date & Time: Sunday 23 February, 10:00am – 11:00am

Location: The Upper House, The Lawn, L6, Pacific Place, 88 Queensway, Admiralty

Cost: $400

Book: Tickets can be purchased via Eventbrite. Click here.
